What is Data Analytics Translation
& Why Do I Need It?

The Gap Between Operations & Technical Teams is Real

Having the right insights to run your operations, analyze processes and make critical decisions is an obvious need in any business, an it's a growing part of where companies invest. However even the big organizations struggle with establishing a data driven culture, consistent data definitions across the org, and miscommunications resulting from operating in silos.  The results can be a lack of adoption and trust in the data, inability to know what to do with the data and waste from expensive resources (data architects, data scientists, data analysts) building the wrong mouse trap.

Our Fractional Analytics Translator will be the bridge between the business leadership and technical teams, guiding a structured process:

Executive Priorities Roadmap

Spend time with you (or each executive in the organization) to capture your analytics priorities, and how they align to the broader organizational strategy. Conduct a start, stop, continue exercise on your data needs. Conduct regular reviews on progress and issues, discuss new / competing priorities and downstream impacts, and engage you for sponsorship at deployment. We become your advocate with the data resources.

Use Cases & ROI

Work with functional leaders and SME's to review what is in place currently, what is missing, and gather information and data to prepare an ROI (revenue growth or protection, productivity improvements, CX improvements, etc.). This information is a component of the prioritization matrix to define the stakeholder roadmap, as well as the baseline for measuring improvement post deployment.

Requirements & Data Definitions

Work with department heads to review operational processes and the corresponding data elements needed to create the solution. Inventory the data definitions as understood by the business. Identify data availability and quality concerns. Capture the insights required by the business that enable action (i.e. a dashboard for case management, a target audience list for marketing, contract renewals tracking, etc.)

Agile Sprints

Work with the data community to ensure they have what they need from operations. Attend sprint reviews, along with the business. Identify potential operational process impacts.

Deployment & Adoption

Orchestrate rollouts, including training and pilots as needed. Gather usage data and begin trending performance against the baseline for executive updates (ROI realization). Solicit executive engagement on adoption challenges.
